What is a Hero Marker? Each mile of the Run is dedicated to one of our NJ Fallen and the endpoint of that mile is marked by a distinctive Hero Marker which is placed in a prominent position and the Hero Marker # is also painted on the road thus acting as the "gathering point" for that Hero's Family, Friends and comrades.
Our Advance Team and our Run Team will stop and make a presentation at every Hero Marker throughout the the Run. Full details, listings and maps will be published here and on each individual Day linked above...

IMPORTANT - Everyone should check the actual location and Day of their Hero Marker as some have had to be changed - please check on the listing below and also on the Route/Map Pages.
The ETA (estimated arrival time) that is shown is the Run Team arrival - HOWEVER – prior to the Run Team there will be an Advance Team arriving which includes active Military members who will do a presentation to the Gold Star Family members – and they will actually move on to the next HM prior to the Run Team arriving thus we strongly advise that everyone should plan on arriving at their Hero Marker at least one hour prior to the time shown. Also - consider bringing a folding chair with you!
