Unit:  US Army Reserve (USAR), Fort Wadsworth, Staten Island, NY.

Born on January 25, 1995 in Newark, NJ, Ruben grew up in Kenilworth, NJ, where he attended John P. Stevens High School where he was a keen participant on the Baseball, Football and Wrestling teams.

In March of 2013 he enlisted in the Army Reserve and on completion of his training in Virginia was assigned to the USAR at Fort Wadsworth, Staten Island, NY.

Ruben's family remember him as someone who touched many hearts - and as a generous young man who would literally give you the shirt on his back.

A unique, good hearted young man who loved the outdoors going hiking and camping.
