Spc. James Pizzo
Hometown: Philadelphia, PA.
Age: 31.
Died: November 20, 2011.
Unit: 1-18 Infantry Regiment and WTB.

Beloved husband of Lisa (nee Tronco), devoted father of Alyssa, Joshua, Joseph, Giovonni and Kayla, dearest son of (the late James J.) and Debra (nee Kulikausky) Pizzo, Sr., son-in-law of the late Isabel (the late Joseph) Tronco, grandson of Delores (the late Charles) Kulikausky and the late Jacob J. and the late Margaret M. (Ellis) Pizzo, brother of Edwin Dunfee, Melanie Pizzo and the late Karla Ervin; brother-in-law of Shawn Ervin, Lori (Stephen) Wilson, Tara Tronco and Ramona (Dominic) Coppola; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

My husband James was called "Pizzo" by everyone, he was known in south west philadelphia by that name and everyone knew him or of him. He had the biggest heart and loved 1000%, he had a saying that goes.."I got your back" and when he gave you his word he kept it.

My husband was a family man and a amazing Father. He loved video games, food and music but most importantly his children. His favorite foods were Chicken Parm and spagetti pie. He always had to wear a brand new white T-Shirt with a pair of brand new Jordons that he would were once or twice and put them back in the box as if he was collecting them and they would be worth money one day. He was a protector, a friend and a veteran hero of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Awards Received:
Army Commendation Medal,
Army Good Conduct Medal,
National Defense Medal,
Iraq Campaign Medal with 2 Bronze Service Stars,
Global War on Terrorism Medal,
Army Service Ribbon/Overseas Service Ribbon,
Basic Marksmanship Qualification Badge with Rife Bar/Overseas Service Bar.
